A unique feature of Drambo is the exceptional integration of the pattern-based sequencer with the modular racks.

Your create, edit and perform with your composition in the Clip launcher / song arragner panel. You can either play pattern by pattern or choose clips from different patterns for spontaneous composition (live jamming).

Clips are MIDI sequences that are basic building blocks of your composition or performance.

Each clip is assigned to a track.

Each horizontal row of clips is called a Pattern.

By creating new Patterns that are played in sequence from top to bottom, you can build a song.

Once you have recorded a few Clips, making a simple, static composition come alive is possible in several ways:
- You can change module parameters on any step you like ("p-locks")
- You can record and/or draw and edit automation for virtually any parameter either with stepped or smooth curves
- On sequencer steps, you can not only add notes and p-locks but also additional step components that affect the step's playback like randomness, cycle conditions, jump to a different step, transpose etc.
- You can store parameter snapshots into up to 16 different scenes and crossfade between any two of them in realtime. You're free to use this in a myriad of ways, be it a DJ-like dual track setup or a synth with 16 presets of which you can seamlessly crossfade from one to the next.

Several handy editing tools help you simplify the song creation process: Clip editing and playback can be restricted to certain bars in the pattern in real time, Clips can be moved or copied to new destinations by drag & drop, the track playback speed can be changed for each Clip individually and much more.

A straightforward piano roll editor allows for quick and precise note and velocity editing.
It supports optional live audio preview of notes which can be very useful when building chords and chord progressions by ear or just picking the right drum instrument.
