The modular graphics expansion for Drambo

Sound and Vision. United. Drambo Visual brings real-time graphics into Drambo's modular environment, where visual and musical ideas can share one connected system.

Build complete visual patches with the same immediacy as audio patches. Work entirely visually, or connect the patch to Drambo's sound and sequencing whenever you want both worlds to interact.

The same signals can drive both sound and image. The LFO moving a filter can also bend shader space. A gate can trigger a scene. Audio can reshape the picture in real time.

Modular Visual Flow

Drambo Visual follows Drambo's directional flow. Sources create Texture signals, processors shape them, mixers combine them, and the Projector displays the result. Start with your own content or build the image from scratch, then keep patching until the picture behaves like an instrument.

Visual Racks let you package complete graphic systems with their own inputs, outputs, and controls, making complex visuals reusable inside larger Drambo projects.

Build 2D and 3D Shaders Visually

Shader Kit turns shader design into a modular process. Build and reshape per-pixel logic with familiar modules, then use the result as a visual generator or as a processor for another Texture.

Create 2D visuals with Shader and Processor Shader modules, or build raymarched forms with the dedicated 3D Shader. Standard Shader modules offer both Shader Kit and Code modes when you want full control.

Deep Per-Pixel Modulation

Modulation can vary across an image, not only over time. A Texture or Mask can control a shader parameter differently at every pixel, so one region can react while another remains untouched.

Use one generated pattern to distort, color, reveal, or animate another. The picture itself becomes a modulation source.

Real-Time Effects and Video Scrubbing

Transform and layer live Textures, build feedback loops, or move between visual sources with controlled transitions. Processor Shaders can be stacked and per-pixel modulated for effects that stay fully patchable.

Video Scrub hands the clip timeline to Drambo's modulation system. Freeze, scan, or rhythmically jump through frames with the same controls used elsewhere in a patch.

Scenes, Objects, and Motion

The Scene module is a programmable space for drawing and animating 2D or 3D objects. Unlike a Shader, Scene can keep state over time, making it suited to evolving systems, MIDI-driven animation, and playable visuals.

Shaders calculate pixels; Scene draws and animates objects. Use either approach on its own or combine them in one patch.

Turn Audio into Visuals

Dedicated analysis modules turn sound into visual material and control signals. Display the result directly, process and mix it with other visuals, or use it to drive shaders and effects.

Spectrum Analyzer, Audio Analyzer, Transient Detector, and XY Oscilloscope bring frequency, waveform, stereo movement, and transients into the visual patch.

Live Output and High-Quality Export

The Projector is the final stage of a Drambo Visual patch. Expand it into a resizable window for live performance, send the output to an external display over HDMI, or export synchronized audio and video directly from Drambo.

For demanding compositions, work at a lower preview resolution or frame rate, then render the final audio and video at high quality in the background.

Built for Visual Artists and Musicians

Drambo Visual is not only for musicians. Visual artists can build complete real-time visual systems without creating an audio patch. Sound and visuals can work independently or become one connected system whenever you want them to interact.

For musicians, the visual patch can become part of the composition itself. Musical timing, performance gestures, and audio analysis can all shape the image.

Availability

Drambo Visual requires Drambo and is available as an in-app purchase. Get it from the Shop in Drambo's main menu or directly from the module browser. After purchase, the visual modules and presets appear in a dedicated VISUAL tab.

The expansion launches with 42 modules and dozens of presets, with an open architecture designed to grow over time.
